Lent Course 2020

Grass Roots Disciples – Part Two

(‘Collecting Lights’)

Last year, around 40 people attended our Lent Course on Discipleship, a course that was being piloted by Jon Curtis, the Diocesan Lay Discipleship Adviser. Since then, the course has been rolled out across the whole Diocese.

We are delighted to announce that Jon will be returning this year to pilot Part Two of the course, which is currently called ‘Collecting Lights’. As last year, it will be an informal, social and encouraging four session learning series for us, as we look to continue and develop our Christian journeys. Over four weeks, it will focus on ‘The Notices, The Quiet, The Thinking and The Moving’. Intrigued? Come and find out what it all means.

It will be held at Talaton Parish Hall on Thursday evenings during Lent in March at 7.30pm. Sign up details to follow in due course but for now, please get the following dates into your diaries.

The working party meets once a year to prepare the churchyard and get it to look its best for the coming year.  Jobs include cutting grass, edging, cutting back, tidying hedges, washing down gates …..

We had a good turn out last year, but would like even more this year.

Bring your own tools if you can (we do have some) and a good pair of gloves.

If pouring with rain, we will postpone to 4th April, so please put both dates in the diary.
